Announcement
It is with a great deal of sadness that I (Doreen Ramsbottom) have to announce the death of my husband Michael Ramsbottom Chairman of Shareshill Social Bowling Club.
We started the bowling club 14 years ago and Mike has been an inspiration in the achievement made to get 50 members . We have leagues both Crown Green and Shortmat which have done the club proud .We have had many Social events as you can see from our website which have taken place at home and abroad The club will still be running hopefully from Oct. Mike had already had the risk assessment passed by the council and although the Government has said we are all free to carry on the ESMBA still encourage clubs to be very careful with our members mixing due to vulnerability of certain members. With this said we are holding a committee meeting on Monday 6th Sept to discuss arrangements for opening and to look at the Committee membership. Until then we are short of a chairperson & I personally would like to see the club moving forward to maintain Mike's legacy.
Regards and thanks to all members who have supported me during this terrible time.
Thank to Adam too for our website.

Shareshill Bowling club or 'Shareshill Indoor Bowlers' as it was known, started in October 2007 with 6 crown green bowlers who were looking for somewhere to play in the winter months. The club has since grown to 50+ members.
The club is mainly year round social bowling, there is no pressure to attend the main principle is to come when you can make it and feel relaxed and enjoy yourself - it is as much a social club as a bowling club.
In addition members can now enjoy more competitive bowling, with the club recently joining the local Crown Green and Cannock Short Mat league. The Crown Green League begins in April and finishes in September, with the Short Mat league being played from October to March. Members now play matches all over the Cannock area throughout the year.
